Our U5-1530 is the ultimate in flexibility. It’s a trunnion style 5-axis vertical machining center for high performance 5-axis simultaneous machining combined with a large fixed table for a 6th side operation, long 3-axis parts, or to hold a tailstock for rotary work on the trunnion. The integrated 2-axis trunnion table that revolves around the Y-axis, significantly reduces interference and allows the tool to reach the part without the need for longer tools.

An optional high-performance trunnion table utilizes a hydraulic counterweight and contains a 3.9 in (100 mm) bore in the table center to accommodate hydraulic or pneumatic feeds for fixture clamping.

The traveling column design separates the machining environment from the axis drive and servo system so material such as plastic, graphite, etc. can be machined and contained without contaminating the machine. The U5-1530 can handle heavy workpieces and can be configured with automation for production applications.
